Had the opportunity to host over 250 Civil Air Patrol Cadets last week for a Career Fair featuring our 70+ different career fields right on base here in Syracuse.

All of them feature a part time service obligation of only 8 weekends and 2 weeks a year, with the full scope of military benefits entitled to you in return.

This Civil Air Patrol event is a blast to host every year, and we look forward to the next one!

Had the opportunity today to cheer on my brother-in-law’s enlistment into the United States Marine Corps.

All branches and components of the military come with different opportunities, strengths and weaknesses. The choice to join one or the other completely depends on the individual’s goals. At the end of the day, we are all here to support each other.

Loved being able to get a workout in and speak with the students at Groton Central School District last week!

Challenge coins are a military tradition in which small metal coins of different size, shape and meaning are exchanged between members to commemorate service, achievement or unit values.

Each coin is unique and carries meaning that often is not displayed on the surface of the coin, but is contained within the holder’s mind or heart.

I recently had an opportunity to share my Air Force Recruiting School graduation coin with the first Non Prior Service applicant that I personally processed into the New York Air National Guard.

It meant so much more to be able to give that away than to hold onto it and remember my own accomplishment.

Love seeing my ANG team jump on training and readiness opportunities like this one. Especially when I get to study UAS/Drone systems as my college major. Paid for by Military Tuition Assistance, of course.

The 102nd Intelligence Wing hosted a Drone Awareness and Threat Picture to provide emergency personnel with the knowledge and skills to detect, identify, track, assess, and respond to and report unmanned aircraft system activity.

The training enhances preparedness for drone-related incidents and has prepared agencies to respond to unlawful or dangerous drone operations.

Reason #87 to choose the Air National Guard over the Army National Guard…

Allotted time in the middle of a normal workday to take a break from the grind for some fun and games.

When we say “Air Force has better quality of life,” this is what we mean.
