Women's Information Center The Syracuse Women's INFOrmation Center, Inc. Women's INFO is one of the oldest independently organized women's centers in the Northeast.

is a private, community supported, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting feminist principles of empowering women regardless of age, race, ability, economic status, religion, or sexual orientation We have always focused on women's issues, facilitating dialogue and action. Founded in 1972, members established an information and referral service for women and documented a critical need for p

rograms to assist r**e victims, battered women and displaced homemakers. INFO volunteers developed crisis services, shelters and counseling programs sensitive to women's concerns. Many area programs which have their roots at INFO are now separate organizations.

As an independent charitable group staffed by active volunteers and a Board of Directors, INFO receives support through memberships, donations and fundraisers. Member involvement and generosity has always allowed INFO to grow and change in response to community needs.
