This weekend, members of Tabernacle Fire Department completed Incident Safety Officer training.

The ISO plays a critical role on scene — keeping an eye on conditions, tracking crew safety, and making sure everyone goes home at the end of the call. Proud of our members for putting in the time to build this skill set.

Thanks to Atlantic County Fire Academy who helped put on the class. Also a huge shout out to 200 Club of Burlington County for the training grant provided to run the class. Training like this is what keeps our department sharp and our community safe.

It’s been a busy few nights for the members of Tabernacle Fire Department as multiple rounds of severe weather have kept our crews responding across the area.

During the church fire in Medford, our members responded. Shortly after another fire occurred here in Tabernacle. We quickly returned to assist regional cover units handle the incident in our own community while one of our apparatus remained committed in Medford, demonstrating the importance of mutual aid and teamwork.

Over the past two evenings, we’ve also provided mutual aid to two working house fires, in addition to responding to numerous storm-related incidents, including downed trees, wires, and brush fires.

Thank you to all of our dedicated members and our neighboring departments for your continued commitment to protecting our communities.

Our members continue to train on large-scale water supply operations, a critical skill in our rural community where hydrants are not available. This training ensures our firefighters are ready to respond when the call comes.

This Saturday morning (6/20), our members will be participating in a large water supply exercise in Vincentown alongside numerous surrounding fire agencies. Residents may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles in the area. This is a planned training exercise, and there is no cause for concern.

Please use caution while traveling through the area and follow all directions provided by fire police personnel.

This past weekend, 4316 ran a tender shuttle operation where the units on site were able to sustain approximately 4,000 gallons of water at the peak of the evolution. Thanks for JCK Academy for the invite!

Our members continue to train and build on their knowledge of water supply operations, and we will be continuing that training over the next few weeks with Vincent Fire Company, who is currently hosting a water supply class.

It’s been a busy few days for our volunteers.

Earlier this week, we welcomed National Fire Radio for a walkthrough of Tender/Engine 4312 and the opportunity to showcase the apparatus and our department.

Thursday evening, our members took part in live fire training to sharpen their skills and stay prepared for real-world emergencies.

Then on Friday night, Quint 4314 and Tender 4316 responded on mutual aid to Browns Mills, where crews assisted with mop-up operations.

We’re proud of the dedication our volunteers continue to show, whether it’s through training or answering the call to help neighboring communities.

With the recent stretch of great weather, our members took full advantage of the conditions to get outside and put in some valuable hands-on training.

Crews focused on hose deployment and advancement, this time working with charged hose lines to better simulate real fireground conditions. Operating with charged lines adds weight, pressure, and complexity—making it critical for building strength, coordination, and communication as a team.

Training like this ensures our members stay sharp, confident, and ready to perform when it matters most. We’re committed to continuously improving and maintaining the highest level of readiness for our community.

Last week was a busy and productive one for our members. Crews had the opportunity to train alongside another Burlington County agency, revisiting and strengthening our water supply operations while enhancing interagency coordination.

At the same time, members in town continued sharpening their skills, focusing on hose line deployment and advancement techniques to ensure readiness on the fireground.

Training never stops, and we remain committed to staying prepared to serve our community.
