It’s been a busy few days for our volunteers.

Earlier this week, we welcomed National Fire Radio for a walkthrough of Tender/Engine 4312 and the opportunity to showcase the apparatus and our department.

Thursday evening, our members took part in live fire training to sharpen their skills and stay prepared for real-world emergencies.

Then on Friday night, Quint 4314 and Tender 4316 responded on mutual aid to Browns Mills, where crews assisted with mop-up operations.

We’re proud of the dedication our volunteers continue to show, whether it’s through training or answering the call to help neighboring communities.

Trainings like this help keep our members prepared for the calls we respond to every day and allow us to sharpen the skills.

With the recent stretch of great weather, our members took full advantage of the conditions to get outside and put in some valuable hands-on training.

Crews focused on hose deployment and advancement, this time working with charged hose lines to better simulate real fireground conditions. Operating with charged lines adds weight, pressure, and complexity—making it critical for building strength, coordination, and communication as a team.

Training like this ensures our members stay sharp, confident, and ready to perform when it matters most. We’re committed to continuously improving and maintaining the highest level of readiness for our community.

Last week was a busy and productive one for our members. Crews had the opportunity to train alongside another Burlington County agency, revisiting and strengthening our water supply operations while enhancing interagency coordination.

At the same time, members in town continued sharpening their skills, focusing on hose line deployment and advancement techniques to ensure readiness on the fireground.

Training never stops, and we remain committed to staying prepared to serve our community.

Duty crew training today took full advantage of the weather conditions and our old firehouse to conduct laddering operations and hand line advancement drills.

Crews focused on building efficiency, coordination, and real-world readiness in a controlled environment. Training in conditions like this helps ensure our members are prepared to operate safely and effectively when it matters most.

It’s been a busy week for our crews so far, with a wide range of incidents keeping us on our toes. From providing mutual aid at a house fire, to handling a dumpster fire, and responding to a vehicle fire within our local district, our members have been hard at work.

We appreciate the continued support from our community and surrounding departments who assist us when needed.

Storm Standby & Quick Response

Tonight, Tabernacle Fire Department had dedicated volunteers staffing two apparatus during a storm standby, ensuring our community remained protected despite the challenging weather conditions.

During the standby, crews were dispatched to Tabernacle schools for an odor of smoke, which was quickly determined to be a room with active fire. The fire was rapidly extinguished, limiting damage and helping keep the building safe.

Crews remained on location for ventilation operations with assistance from our mutual aid partners before returning to quarters shortly after midnight.

🚒 January Call Recap 🚒

In the month of January, Tabernacle Fire was dispatched to 33 incidents throughout our community and mutual aid areas.

The final call of the month was a working structure fire here in our local. Upon arrival, our members were tasked with extinguishing an attic fire that had already pushed through the roof prior to the first units arriving. Thanks to the quick actions and teamwork of our firefighters and our mutual aid partners, the fire was brought under control and further damage was prevented.

We’re proud of the dedication our volunteer members continue to show, day and night, serving and protecting our community.
