National Membership Ambassador Michael Maruszak would like to remind you that the 2025-2026 Program Year is not quite over, even though Department Conventions are underway. You still have until June 30 to make sure members pay their dues and your Department can still make it to 100%!
Remember, if one did not pay their dues by December 31, 2025, they are no longer in good standing. If that person still has not paid their dues by June 30, they will no longer be a member as of July 1 and will have to rejoin, which means proving eligibility again, and setting back their join date (which is relevant in regard to Cancer Grants, Continuing Education Scholarships and 45-plus membership celebrations).
If a member has not yet paid, and especially if they have usually done so by now, this is a great time to reach out and make sure they're okay. They could be sick or struggling, they may have moved or changed their email address (therefore missing reminders) or they may have thought they paid already but not double-checked.
"You have until the 30th at midnight," Maruszak says. "Get the information out there! It is truly appreciated."
Edited to Add: to clear up confusion, we are referring to both the previous calendar year (2025) and the current Program Year (2025-2026) in this post. If a member paid their dues by December 31, 2025, they are all set - they are a member in good standing as of the end of 2025. If they did not pay by December 31, 2025, they are not in good standing, but if they do pay on or before June 30, 2026, they will remain a member. If they are not in good standing and do not pay on or before June 30, 2026, they will no longer be a member at all when the Program Year resets on July 1, 2026; they will have to rejoin, which means again proving eligibility. Regarding membership percentages, the current (2025-2026) Program Year started on July 1, 2025 and will end on June 30, 2026, so dues paid today through June 30 will count toward the membership percentages for the 2025-2026 Program Year. As of July 1, 2026, that resets, as we kick off the 2026-2027 Program Year. We hope this helps!
