📚🎒 TCPD Back-to-School Celebration! 💦🚔🚒

What better way to wrap up summer than with water, laughter, and a whole lot of fun! ☀️💦

The Tabor City Police Department was proud to partner with The Todd House and the Tabor City Fire Department for an awesome Back-to-School Celebration for our local kids!

From water slides and water guns to getting soaked by the fire hose, everyone had a great time cooling off and enjoying the day! 💦🔫🚒

Our officers and firefighters may have gotten a little too competitive — but we’re not going to say who got the wettest! 😂

Events like this are a great reminder that community policing and public safety are about more than just responding to calls. They’re about building relationships, creating positive memories, and showing our kids that their police officers and firefighters are here for them.

A huge THANK YOU to The Todd House for helping make this event possible, and to the Tabor City Fire Department for joining us and helping keep everyone cool! We also appreciate everyone who came out and made the day such a success. ❤️

From all of us at TCPD and Tabor City Fire Department — have a safe, successful, and AWESOME school year! 📚✏️🎒

🚔 Speeding Doesn’t Save Time… It Can Cost Lives.

This week, the Tabor City Police Department is participating in North Carolina’s “Speeding Slows You Down” enforcement campaign.

Our officers will be actively patrolling throughout Tabor City with one goal in mind—keeping our roads safe for everyone who travels them.

It’s easy to underestimate the dangers of speeding. A few extra miles per hour can significantly reduce your reaction time, increase stopping distance, and make crashes far more severe. Saving a minute or two on your drive simply isn’t worth putting yourself or others at risk.

Whether you’re heading to work, taking the kids to practice, or just running errands, we ask that you:
🚦 Obey the posted speed limits.
🚦 Stay focused and eliminate distractions.
🚦 Leave a few minutes earlier so there’s no need to rush.
🚦 Watch for pedestrians, bicyclists, and other motorists.

Our priority isn’t writing tickets—it’s preventing crashes and ensuring everyone returns home safely.

Let’s work together to make Tabor City a safer place to drive.

Slow down. Drive responsibly. Arrive safely.
