Dear Families and Loved Ones of the Forge Battalion,
Happy New Year!
CSM Jackson and I, along with our families, want to wish you all a fantastic start to 2026. We feel incredibly fortunate to kick off another year leading such a dedicated and professional team.
Newest Member of the Formation
We have some "personnel updates" to share! This past month, the Forge Battalion officially grew by one. On December 15, 2025, one of our Advisors welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world.
She has already been inducted into the formation with the rank of BFC (Baby First Class). While she is currently perfecting her "loud-and-clear" communication skills, her reporting instructions are already set she is expected at PT formation the moment her Dad finishes paternity leave. We heard she’s already a natural at the "high crawl."
Looking Ahead: January 2026 Training
As we get back into the swing of things, the month ahead is focused on sharpening our edge through Driver’s Training and MOS (job-specific) Proficiency Training. Here is what that means for the home front:
• Working after normal duty hours: Because our missions don’t just happen in the daylight, we will be conducting Night Drivers Training. You should expect your Advisors/Soldiers to be getting home after 1800 (6:00 PM) during these iterations.
• Back to Basics: MOS proficiency training is a deep dive into the technical skills that make our Soldiers experts in their fields. This is a vital time to hone those old but relevant skills.
• The Grind: These training blocks often involve long hours of education and hands-on drills. We appreciate your patience as our team puts in the work to stay ready.
Thank You
None of what we do is possible without the "team behind the teammate." Thank you for your continued support, your sacrifices, and your resilience. We hope you had a restful holiday season and are as energized for this year as we are.
Best Regards,
LTC Acevedo
