This Valentine’s Day weekend, I showed my love for my community by delivering food drive items to the Empowerment Center. ❤️

Shoutout to my dear Aunt Helen and her family for donating food drive items!

I did not mind risking driving in the snowy weather because the weather conditions only increase the needs of many of our community members.

Swipe to see some information about the incredible organization that is the Empowerment Center.
“The EMPC has used a 100% volunteer workforce, many of whom are unemployed, underemployed and/or branded unemployable to divert tons of food each year from the sanitary landfill to the tables of thousands of families and the hands of the homeless who other wise would go hungry.” - The EMPC Website

Happy New Years! Shoutout to and everyone else who donated to our latest ! We delivered approximately $400 worth of food and essential items to the food program of the Small Tribes Organization of Western Washington. There is a great need, especially in indigenous communities which are hard hit by the pandemic and are experiencing high rates of food insecurity. Statistically, households of Native American families are 400 percent more likely than other U.S. households to report not having enough to eat, and 1 in 4 Native Americans experience food insecurity. The pandemic has only made this problem worse, which is why we are choosing to help fight food insecurity in these communities through our latest . Wanna have your own in your own community? After seeing my most recent post where I talked about volunteer court watch, some of you may be wondering: what is a bail fund? what is bail?!
These infographics help explain what bail is, how it disproportionately affects low-income black & brown communities and how devastating this part of the criminal justice system can be to people’s lives and communities overall.
A community bail fund is a non-profit community organization that pays bail for individuals and debunks the myth that a money bail system is necessary.

big thanks to for all the great work they do!

Hi everyone!
Being back at school in Nashville has given me less time to post on this page. However, I haven’t stopped finding ways to be involved in and help the communities I’m a part of!

I recently joined the and their volunteer program! Being at home on break means that I can’t do in-person court watching till I get back on campus, but I still wanted to do everything I can to share information about this amazing organization and the work being done to help fight racism and systemic injustice in our criminal justice system!

Court watching brings the community into the courts for observation to hold our justice system accountable and allow our community to advocate for its members.

Wanna learn more about what court watching is and how to get involved? Visit and or just reach out to me with any questions!

however, the work is not done

A CNBC article published last week reported the percentage of college students planning to vote this presidential election from a recent survey of 4,000 college students and who majority of them are more likely to vote for .
The article also highlights and discusses the issues that are most important to this age group, including but not limited to:
- the COVID-19 pandemic and how it’s being handled by national leadership
- racial injustice and race-based violence in our country
