The Salvation Army has been serving people in Tacoma and Pierce County for more than 125 years. Currently, we operate the Jarvie Memorial Emergency Housing Center and the Red Shield Food Bank, as well as offering financial assistance and case management to people who need emergency aid (such as homeless assistance, utility help, or other needs).

This year's exciting Vacation Bible School, "Rainforest Falls" is coming up soon! Join us as we learn about God, nature, and so much more!
Each weeknight will include dinner, games and a bible lesson. The week culminates on Sunday August 30th with our church service and participant awards at 10:30am.

Today we were blessed by the incredible youth group from Trinity Presbyterian Church, who spent part of their day serving in The Salvation Army Tacoma's Hope Market!

These amazing young volunteers stocked shelves, filled pet food bags, and helped with light cleaning to prepare for tomorrow's shopping hours. Their willingness to roll up their sleeves and serve their neighbors is a wonderful reminder that compassion and generosity have no age limit.

Every bag filled, every shelf stocked, and every helping hand makes a difference for the families who rely on Hope Market. We are so grateful for Trinity Presbyterian Church's partnership and for these outstanding young people who chose to spend their day giving back to the Tacoma community.

Thank you for making Hope Market a little brighter—and a little more ready to welcome our neighbors tomorrow! ❤️
