Patrons get a charge out of the library!

Each of your Bates Library locations have added phone charging lockers for student and employee use. This lets you put your phone in a small locker and keep it secure while it charges with a temporary combination code.

The library was pleased to host Caleb Wiswell from MDC who presented successful and well-attended Tablet 101 workshops on Thursday, June 27th. . A total of 36 tablets were issued free of charge to students who participated in the sessions.

As a step towards successful completion of her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education this quarter, student Diane Erlenmeyer made creative use of the Bates Library's skeleton model and Visible Body database to teach young children about oral hygiene.

Machinist student Colin Gibbs recently put the library’s motto, “We’ve Got What You Need” to the test, saying:

“The library says they always have what we need. When I got a tiny metal splinter in my hand, I needed to borrow tweezers. I figured it was worth a shot, and they had it!”

For borrowing books, tweezers, or for countless other library services, Bates Library is here to help!
