Candidate filing has officially closed! At the close of candidate filing week, we conduct a lot draw that determines the order of the candidates on the ballot and in the voters’ pamphlet. Candidates do not appear in the order that they filed.
In the General Election, the candidate with the most votes in the Primary Election will be listed first on the ballot, as well as in the voters’ pamphlet.
If no Primary Election is held for an office, candidates will appear in lot draw order.

🎉 The April 28 Special Election is just 1 week away! The closer we get to election day, we recommend returning your ballot by drop box. We've got 15 drop boxes ready and waiting for your ballot, open 24/7 for your convenience.

Why 15 drop boxes and not all of them? Since only Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma is on the ballot, we only open the boxes that are in and around the district.

Don't delay! Drop boxes will close at 8 p.m. sharp on election night. Check out PierceCountyWA.gov/elections to locate your nearest drop box.
