Maintenance Helper-Fife
Location: Fife, WA
Local company is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic. Job duties include the following:
• Tests production equipment daily looking for potential problems and performs routine daily maintenance.
• Trouble shoots machine problems using lockout, tag out and try out system.
• Coordinates with production to schedule maintenance on machinery to achieve zero production downtime.
• Looks for and corrects safety issues on all equipment. Assures housekeeping standards are met. .
• Prioritizes and delegates work orders and maintenance projects.
• Designs, redesigns and retrofits equipment and builds new machinery as needed for production.
• Takes bids, schedules and coordinates work from outside contractors for projects that are larger than our maintenance department can handle.
• Buys parts for equipment and facility’s needs.
• Requests feedback from production team members on the operation of production machinery.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Experience, Skills or Training required:
• 3-5 years of experience required
• Machine shop safety
• Machine shop skills as in welding, fabrication and construction
• Understanding pneumatics, different types of controls, hydraulics, vacuum systems, refrigeration and industrial electrical work (single and three-phase motor controls. Safety device as lockout, tag out procedures)
• General plumbing, electrical and building repair

Final Assembly
Location: Tacoma
Looking for qualified, dependable employees to become a crucial team player for a local company that is a leader in mechanical control assemblies.
Requirements are: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Ability to read, writes, speak and understand English. A minimum of one (1) year assembly production experience in a manufacturing environment or completion of eighteen (18) months of trade school in related field. Familiarity in reading blueprints, drawings and schematics. Moderately skilled in using manufacturing machinery and equipment. Minimum one (1) year experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC). Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
Functions:
1. Installs component parts in final assembly by skillfully operating rotary swagers, punch press, hydraulic press, ultrasonic and other equipment as documented on production planners.
2. Performs production processes to precision measurement specifications and tolerances down to .0001 inch.
3. Performs initial production set up with little assistance from higher classification or Supervisor.
4. Assists Senior Cable Assemblers as assigned.
5. Examines parts to ensure workmanship is free from defects.
6. Enters required information to complete records, logs and other report forms as required by established procedures.
7. Other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
8. Make recommendations to the Manager or Supervisor regarding any potential cost reduction item or procedural improvement related to this position.
Pay is 12.00-14.00/hr., Need to be flexible to work either day or swing shift, and could work 10 hour days. Must pass criminal background check and drug screen.
