Thank you to everyone's support. It was genuine and heartfelt, and most definitely received by me in the same manner. 48,000 is a lot of voters that want change in the way the Port of Tacoma operates. That's a lot of voters that don't want the next 100 years to be like the past 100. Unfortunately, voter turnout was extremely low and that hurt us more than my opponent. Let's see if we can grow that incredibly low voter turnout number and try and win a seat in 2019 (for 2020). So please don't go anywhere, we have a lot of unfinished business and work to do. I'm determined as ever to work for the people of Pierce County, to work for environmental protection, to stand with the Puyallup Tribe and to stand for all of you! Is there ever a time that you can simply give up the fight to protect the air, the land, and the sea? No. The answer is no. Never. Please keep fighting.
