Tacoma City Ballet is a local treasure, and we are so proud to support this refresh!

Thanks to the Dimmer Family Foundation, Tacoma City Ballet is able to order a brand new complete Nutcracker Set consisting of 13 "Soft Goods" - 1 Scrim, 4 Backdrops, and 8 Cut Drops. This Nutcracker Set, still the design of the original Russian Nutcracker and built especially for the Federal Way Performing Arts & Event Center (PAEC), will replace our old set that just celebrated its 20th birthday. Thank you Dimmer Family Foundation. Your generosity to Tacoma City Ballet is so deeply appreciated!

As a small family foundation, it's inspiring to read about the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and know that at the end of the day, we all just want to make a difference. Thank you Bill and Melinda for your generosity to the world.

What a beautiful way to honor and dignify all the clients of St. Leo's Food Connection.

Thank you to Jessie Keating for the tremendous mural she painted in our St. Leo Food Bank. Here's what she had to say about the project:

"The St. Leo Food Connection mural is complete! “A Place For Everyone” measures 20’ wide by 10’ tall, starting 5’ off the ground. It took 122 hours to complete. Having spent so much time there, I was able to quietly observe all the clients. Each chair represents one or more person/people (as I saw them.) I hope my work is loved for many years to come!"

Thank you Jessie!

ET- Miss you big guy! So glad that this sculpture has captured your spirit for generations to come.

Our foundation board was honored today with a reception at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital celebrating our gift to update the Family Resource Center in honor of Dr. Cemil Bayrakci. Marilyn Dimmer spoke about our family's special relationship with Dr. Bayrakci and Mary Bridge Children's Hospital. It was a pleasure to support the Center's recent update. Thank you Kristin Barsness and the awesome Mary Bridge team for making today so special (Linda Chen, Dori Young, Cindy Niemi, Anna Ahrens and Jessica Mason). And I want to also thank our good friends in the community who came out to celebrate with us. It meant a lot to have you with us: Jim & Patty Morton, Bob & Tammy Hall, Mark Holcomb, Rob Critchfield, Wendy Stricherz, Holly Bamford Hunt, Joanne Bamford, Rex Bates, John Woodworth, Jeff Woodworth, Jill Woodworth and Erin Shagren.
