⛓️‍💥Debunking Co-Regulation ⛓️‍💥
Somewhere along the way, co-regulation has come to mean “finding a shared sense of calm.”

And the goal in movement building isn’t to be calm all the time. The goal is neuro-coherence & co-building neural systems that can stay connected to what’s actually happening in the present.

Grief. Rage. Joy. Fear. Excitement. Desire. Urgency.

Can you feel it without disconnecting from yourself?
Can we feel it together without disconnecting from each other?

Co-regulation isn’t just down-regulation. It’s the capacity to move together through the full spectrum of human experience—to find rhythm, connection, and collective capacity across a wide range of intensities.

Because if calm is the only state we trust, we risk freezing in the face of the very challenges that require our creativity, courage, and collective action.

Neuro-coherence is about becoming coherent enough with reality that we can stay present, connected, and responsive to it.

PORTLAND + EUGENE 🌿🔥 One week out until we kick off the Somatics of Our Collective Survival West Coast Tour at Kindness Farm in Portland (5/30), and I’m excited to share that we’ve added a second, intimate evening workshop in Eugene (6/2).

A few questions:
✨ Have you spent years in 1-1 work and healing spaces, only to find the work disappears the moment group dynamics enter the room?
✨ Are you ready to level up your somatic praxis beyond individual tending, and into collective capacity?
✨ Are you wondering how the hell we’re going to relationally weave together through the collapse of empire, climate crises, and rapid eco-social transformation?

Many healing spaces still replicate top-down power dynamics that leave us under-skilled in the bottom-up organizing and collective coordination these times require us to:

**Invert the system to subvert the system.**

Collective trauma leaves predictable imprints on our neural systems. Left unattended, those imprints can keep us trapped in the very relational patterns that uphold extractive, colonial, and capitalist ways of being. But our neural systems are adaptable. We can learn new agreements.
This workshop is a practice space devoted to the neuro-mechanics of co-liberation.

Through movement, rhythm, play, body percussion, relational skill-building, and collective care practices, we’ll explore what it feels like to strengthen our capacity for intensity, connection, and survival—together.

Part ritual. ✨
Part neural system lab. 🧠
Part community movement practice. 🌀

We are living through a profound r/evolution of our neural systems. The question isn’t whether change is happening. The question is whether we’ll build the capacity to meet it together.

If you’re craving a space that prioritizes the wisdom of the body, collective resilience, and the possibility that an embodied community is the site of healing and liberation, come join us.

📍 Portland — May 30 | Kindness Farm | 1–5 PM
📍 Eugene — June 2 | Private Venue | 6–8:30 PM

Let’s skill up for our collective survival. 🔥

🌱 We’re held together by interconnected systems- like our neural system & interstitial tissue.

The connective tissue & neuro-connectivity between our body’s systems is vital.

Wellness depends on inter-connectivity—between organs, tissues, sensations, emotions, instincts, and awareness… And between each other. 🫶🏼

Yet many of us have learned to disconnect through stress, pain, dissociation, and experiences that teach us to erase parts of ourselves.

What if one of the most important tasks of our time is learning to reconnect?

When I think about this work, I think about mycelium.

Mycelial networks help ecosystems communicate, recycle nutrients, and support new growth. They help keep the web intact.

And that’s the invitation before us:
To repair the web within ourselves, between one another, and with the Earth.

As climate crises and uncertainty grow, our survival will depend on staying connected and responding well, together.

✨ Who’s ready to build this beautiful neurological web together?

PORTLAND! — we’re kicking off the *Somatics of Our Collective Survival* West Coast Tour on May 30 at Kindness Farm. 🌿🔥

We are living through a time of collapse, acceleration, grief, resistance, and profound transformation. Our bodies feel this. Our neural systems track it.

And — alongside all the intensity — there is an invitation unfolding:
To strengthen our capacity to survive together. 🙌🏼

Somatics of Our Collective Survival is a 4-hour embodied, trauma-responsive workshop exploring how movement, rhythm, relational practice, play, body percussion, and collective care can help us build more coherence, trust, connection, and resilience in these r/evolutionary times.

This is not about learning to tolerate collapse … it’s about skilling up for our collective survival, together.

Learning how to stay connected to our bodies and each other while building the futures we desperately need. ✊🏾✊🏼✊🏿

Part ritual. ✨
Part neural system lab. 🧑‍🔬
Part community movement practice. 🌀

Portland is the first stop of a West Coast tour running May through October 2026, and I’m so excited to begin this journey with y’all in community.

All bodies & abilities welcome. 🫶🏼

Come build the collective r/evolution with us. 🔥

“Do you recognize your neural system, fully inner-stands how fast the world is changing right now?” 🌀

Hey there friends and neighbors, I’m Morgan Vanderpool—collective trauma specialist & neuro-mechanic, who helps bodies turn on for the movement.

After attending the Global Earth Repair Convergence on S’Klallam land in Port Townsend, WA this last weekend, I keep thinking about this:
The rate and scope of change we’re living through right now, is so vast & fast, that our neural systems are responding to it, with a deeply felt sense of risk.

And when our systems are tracking constant uncertainty, fragmentation, collapse, and acceleration… it is incredibly challenging to sustain focus on executing the solutions we already know exist & it becomes
🏋️ Harder to stay connected & it’s really tricky to build long-term endurance without burning out. 🔥

So maybe the question isn’t:
“How do we keep up?”

Instead… All of this leads me to ask the questions:
- How do we evolve our neural systems’ capacity to remain connected, discerning, relational, and resourced inside this scope & rate of transformation?
- How do we expand capacity, while honoring boundaries?
- How do we skill up for collective survival without overriding ourselves in the process?

So I’m curious friends & neighbors, of this blessed Mother Earth, let’s help each other out by sharing in the comments:
- What has your relationship been to the speed of change lately?
- And what’s actually helping you stay connected to what matters most?

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
for “Drum Song Reclamation”
An 8-week initiation into the skill of drumming to support singing for collective healing and power!

with Shireen Amini and Morgan Vanderpool

WHEN?
April 2-May 21*
Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30pm PT on Zoom
*NO CLASS on April 30 (for midway integration)

Humans of these times...
Reclaiming drum and song is a pounding beat whose echo ripples backwards and forwards through time.

We are called to rhythm because it is innate and powerful. We have been estranged from rhythm for these same exact reasons. The cuttingly and cunningly-present living legacies of colonialism, white supremacy, and capitalism have impacted us generationally, viscerally and show up in our bodies’ relationship to rhythm & music.

Restoring our connection to body, soul, village, voice, and rhythm is vital to shift the momentum of generations of harm.

We believe in...
* Reconnecting bodies to rhythm as a source of healing, power, and the magic of co-liberation.
* Reclaiming drumming as a pathway toward ancestral mending, both in reaching for the land-based diasporic cultures that still run in our blood and in actively repairing harm in our current systems through reverent practice.
* Empowering people with the skills, understanding, and creativity to bring music in service of calling, where mastery is unnecessary but cultural fluency/reverence, and musical principles are foundational.
* Restoring drumming and singing together as a community practice for health, grief, joy, prayer, resistance, and calling in renewed ways.

THIS TRAINING WILL INCLUDE:
* Weekly Live Classes
* Asynchronous Video Mini-Lessons + Playalong Videos
* Online Community Forum
* Live Office Hours
* Final Project

KEEP IN MIND:
* Limited capacity. We will cap the program at 22 participants with 50% reserved for BIPOC community.
* Register soon to secure your spot.
