TACID Promoting the wellness, recovery and resilience of adults experiencing disabilities in Pierce County. All services are provided free of charge.

TACID (Tacoma Area Coalition of Individuals with Disabilities) is a peer led and directed nonprofit. TACID serves adults experiencing a spectrum of physical, cognitive, developmental, sensory, mental and bevavioral health disabilities and challenges. Guided by the principles of Intentional Peer Support, TACID services include peer support groups, wellness activities, information and referrals, and opportunities for inclusive recreation and community.

Greetings Friends and Followers! Our Backyard Benefit and Silent Auction is right around the corner on September 12th. Today, we're excited to give you a peek at some of the art, crafts, services and experiences up for auction this year—a 2-hour set of live music for your event or gathering, quilted tote bags, original watercolor paintings, dog-themed quilts and a 1-night stay at Mama Moon Treehouse. Watch for more items to be added to the auction in the next couple weeks. You'll have a chance to see everything in-person on the day of the event. HERE'S THE SCHEDULE FOR THE REST OF THIS WEEK:
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 26TH: CLOSED. We apologize for the inconvenience, but believe that it is necessary and important to look out for folks who may be more vulnerable to COVID than others.
THURSDAY, AUGUST 27TH: OPEN for all activities. If you plan to attend, we are asking that people wear masks. If you don't have one, masks will be available in the lobby.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 28TH: OPEN with reduced activities. BINGO and RAINBOW RESILIENCE are CANCELED. If you aren't aware, our Sandwich and Salad Potluck is also CANCELED and has been rescheduled for Friday, September 18th.

Greetings TACID Friends and Participants! In light of the COVID exposure discovered this week, we're postponing our Sandwich and Salad Potluck that was scheduled for Friday, August 28th. The Potluck has been rescheduled to Friday, September 18th. Sorry for any inconvenience. We hope to see you in a few weeks!

UPDATE: TACID will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25th so we can deep clean the building. If all goes to plan, we will reopen on Wednesday, August 26th at 9:30AM. Take care and remember, if you have any symptoms or aren't feeling well, please stay home! See you soon.
