The Tacoma (WA) Historical Society and Edward B Rhodes American Legion Parkland Post 2 presented their 19th Annual Veterans Day Celebration on November 11th, 2025, 11:00am, at the War Memorial Park, near 6th Avenue and Jackson Street, Tacoma, WA. The prelude consisted of a medley of patriotic songs. The official portion of the program started with a presentation of the colors conducted by the Henry Foss High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps cadets., The National Anthem was played. Introductory remarks were made by the host, Colonel (Ret.) Andy Leneweaver of the Tacoma Historical Society. He was followed by a celebration 0f 250 years of veteran's service by the US Army, Navy, and Marine Corps. A presentation of the birth of the US Amy, in a congressional resolution, on June 14th, 1775, was conducted by Edward B Rhodes Parkland Post 2 Post Historian Staff Sergeant Travis Bresino, an active-duty soldier assigned to Battery A, 1st Battalion, 3d Field Artillery Regiment.
