Our crews have been working this afternoon to restore power as quickly and safely as possible to parts of Fircrest and University Place where power lines are both on poles and underground. Several crews are patrolling the remaining outage area to locate the cause. We appreciate your patience.

Follow restoration efforts at MyTPU.org/OutageMap. The outage map shows you where the power is out, crew status, estimated time of restoration and more, and allows you to report a power outage online. You can also enroll in power outage email and/or text notifications within MyAccount.

From forecasts to drought assessments, the Cowlitz River Project is just one example of NASA science supporting water decisions across the West.

NASA data is helping manage water resources as the effects of the western U.S. snow drought linger through summer.

The winter of 2025-26 was unusually warm, which meant a larger share of precipitation fell as rain instead of snow across much of the West. Some areas also received less rain and snow than normal, leaving even less snow in the mountains to melt and feed rivers through spring and summer.

A private company is using freely-available NASA Earth science data to improve machine-learning forecasts, helping managers make decisions about water, power, and public safety in Washington state.
