Citizen Corps Council of Pierce County

Citizen Corps Council of Pierce County Educating & coordinating individuals and agencies in emergency preparedness and disaster response.

We set up emergency shelters for people and for their pets after disasters. We also have teams to process incoming groups of volunteers, to care for people at shelters, and to assist people after closing the shelters. Before disasters, we train people to care for themselves, their families and their neighbors through PC-NET (Pierce County Neighborhood Emergency Teams) or CERT (Community Emergency Response Teams - Tacoma & W.Pierce Fire Depts).

Keep your flashlights handy, and vaccinations up to date. Does your car have a flashlight and fire extinguisher (and some water, hand sanitizer, & a few energy bars)? Always be prepared, your family and pets rely on you.
