Today from 10-1 pm you can get up to two loads of laundry (wash & dry) done for FREE at Thirty eighth at laundromat. (S. 38th & L). First come FIrst serve.

We have changed the Convoy of Hope Event to the Tacoma Backpack Outreach and have split the event into 3 different locations to better reach the Tacoma community.

The three locations for the event are:
August 17th - Life Center Baker - 1pm-5pm
August 23rd - Puget Sound Christian Center - 10am-2pm
August 30th - Life Center Central - 10am-2pm

We will be handing out 7,500 backpacks filled with school supplies while giving our guests free lunch and entertainment. We will also have free haircuts, health and community services, prayer and so much more.

The backpacks have finally arrived thanks to Dan French and . Now we need your help! We have 7,599 backpacks that need to be filled with school supplies for Tacoma's students. Each backpack costs $20 to give a student all the supplies they will need to be a success in the upcoming school year. Please go to our website and sponsor some backpacks today!

Thank you to Jason and Hannah from Jason Comerford Photography for giving their Saturday to help in the Family Portraits Tent! With over 1,500 portraits taken at 3 stations, Jason and Hannah probably took at least 500 pictures for families that might never get the chance otherwise. And they do a great job! Yesterday was quite the day.... A huge THANK YOU to all the amazing people who gave their day to setup, serve, and clean up afterwards! We are overwhelmed by the response the Tacoma made to come together and serve it's own!

The numbers:
6,532 Guests served
1,334 Volunteers
337 haircuts given
1,571 Family Portraits
42 Organizations were involved
4,572 Guests were prayed with
50 Churches participated
National Breast Cancer Foundation served 923 women
870 Guests came through the Community Services tent
2,024 pairs of kids shoes were given away
113 School Physicals provided
1,600 Back to School Bags given away before we ran out of school supplies

We still need to raise money to meet the need of about 1,500 more kids who were in line when school supplies ran out.

AWESOME Volunteer Rally tonight! Over 1000 people from about 50 different churches packed it out at Life Center. So excited to see what God is doing in Tacoma, and to serve with all these beautiful people tomorrow morning (bright and early)!
