Local chocolate business looking for a place to work.

This is awful. Not how we wanted to spend this busy weekend before Christmas, but we have no choice. Our roof is leaking. Luckily we happened to be here working in the middle of the night last night when the leaks began and the ceiling began failing and collapsing, so were able to save our equipment and packaged product. But, we are now unable to produce at our usual capacity and need to focus on repairs and maybe a move? We will be at the tomorrow at with lots of confections and TONS of samples. Also, has lots of goodies available. Hey, anyone got any ideas of where we might be able to make chocolate without fear of our roof caving in? We're looking. Seriously. THANK YOU to all of our awesome customers!

Picture Tacoma in 1888. A frontier town made up of mostly loggers amid an economic boom. That summer, a drunkard dragged a bear cub to the corner of 8th and Pacific, where he began kicking the bear to make the bear perform tricks. A crowd gathered and tried to stop him, but the drunkard refused.

The man was eventually arrested and later that week, a group of town leaders gathered to form the Tacoma Humane Society – the oldest humane society in Washington state, and one of the oldest humane societies in the United States.

We were founded by a group of people who dared to question the status quo, revolutionaries, and champions of animal welfare, and this National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week we want to honor our history and thank the dedicated staff, volunteers, and community members who help us work to "Make Happy Happen" and protect the homeless, injured, abused, and abandoned animals in our community! 🐾
