Mentoring in Action! ⛳💚

Our August Mentor Meeting combined team building, learning, welcoming new mentors and a little friendly competition at Tower Lanes on 6th.

And somewhere between the putting, cheering and hilarious misses, we watched great mentoring happen naturally:

Encourage. Teach. Listen. Adapt. Clarify. Include. Lead by example.

One of our biggest conversations was about giving people grace while they learn. Needing something explained again—or explained differently—doesn't mean someone can't succeed. Great mentors adjust how they teach and create a space where asking questions feels safe.

Because mentorship isn't about having all the answers. It's about helping someone else grow confident enough to find theirs.

A big thank-you to our mentors for the time, patience and leadership they invest in others—and to Tower Lanes on 6th for giving our crew such a fun place to learn, laugh and connect.

From where we stood beneath the trees at Fort Nisqually, it was easy to see a lot of light. ☀️🌲

The daughter of one of our Cascade Park Gardens team members joined our memory care residents for our annual picnic—sharing great food, fresh air, sunshine, games and plenty of smiles.

She arrived ready for an adventure and quickly became part of the picnic crew: visiting with residents, enjoying treats and helping pass out snacks. It was a beautiful reminder that connection has no age limit—and that some of the most meaningful moments happen when generations simply spend time together.

At Cascade Park Gardens, we look for the good, the light and the opportunity in every day. Because when people of every generation feel welcomed, valued and part of something bigger, everyone flourishes.

That’s what it means to be rooted in optimism. 💚

Cascade Senior Living Services is incredibly proud to celebrate two LeadingAge Washington awards!

The Culture Shift Award was presented to our Human Resources team, led by Diana Verrue and Rachael Spritzer, for transforming our workplace through compassion, innovative employee programs, professional development, and unwavering support. Their leadership has helped reduce turnover from rates as high as 115% to below 50%—while building a culture where employees feel valued, heard, and empowered to grow.

The Transforming Lives Award was presented to Cascade Park Gardens, represented by Whitney and Zully, for redefining what is possible for people living with dementia and complex behavioral health needs. Through Purposeful Living Through Connection, their team restores identity, rekindles purpose, and helps residents rediscover belonging.

These awards recognize what our teams demonstrate every day: meaningful change happens when compassion is paired with action.
