At our last meeting the 27th Legislative District Democrats endorsed the Yes for Tacoma Parks ballot initiative and now they need our help.
Every Saturday in April, community members from across Tacoma will come together to support our parks, connect with neighbors, and help spread the word about the Parks Bond. Each event runs from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. They’ll kick things off with coffee and donuts at 10:00, followed by brief remarks at 10:15 and a short training and turf assignment around 10:30. After that, they’ll head out to knock doors in nearby neighborhoods.
This is a great opportunity to engage directly with the community and build momentum around an important investment in Tacoma’s parks and public spaces.
No experience is necessary. They will provide all the training, materials, and support you need. Whether it is your first time volunteering or you have joined before, door knocking is open to all!
