Thank you to everyone for participating in the S&W Shield handgun raffle this past Saturday at the Taft Car Show. We welcome new members to join our local grass roots republican group. This Saturday from 9am-2pm at the Rails to Trails will be the 2025 Taft Car Show. The Taft Republican Assembly will have a booth to promote our grass-roots group and attempt to sign up some new members. We will also be selling raffle tickets for a Smith & Wesson Shield 9mm handgun. This gun is ideal as a conceal-carry. The winner can also upgrade this gun at their own expense at Westside Arms. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. See you this Saturday.

American hero’s in Washington DC this week with the Honor Flight of Kern County. This is retired Taft College employee Andy Huckins who drove the Taft College Cougars on road trips in the original “Cougar Bus”. Andy is a Marine who served in the Vietnam War. Andy is also a member of the Taft Republican Assembly. Thank you to Jeff Salters of Salty’s Bbq for this interview of Andy. Semper Fi!
