10:50 p.m. Update: We have confirmed that 911 service is restored.

——————————

The State Emergency Operations Center is aware of the ongoing AT&T issues affecting 911 calls in the state.

Portions of the state are currently affected by a 911 routing issue that began at approximately 4 p.m. today. The issue is causing some 911 calls to be misrouted to other parts of the state. 911 centers were notified and began transferring calls to the appropriate call centers as needed. At approximately 4:20 p.m., incoming calls were routed to the proper call center using predetermined 10 digit telephone lines. When calling 911 please be prepared to provide your location and telephone number.

Calls to 911 are still being answered, but if you experience trouble, please check with your local emergency management, police, fire, or 911 center for an alternate phone number for your area. Many local jurisdictions are posting back-up numbers on their page, X account, or website.

We are in close contact with our 911 partners and have not received any assistance requests from local jurisdictions.

**DO NOT call 911 to test your service.

An upper disturbance lifting out of the Southwest is expected to impact the Plains this weekend. The highest chance of wetting rainfall occurs across NE OK & NW AR Friday night through Sunday. However, a complete wash-out is not expected for those that have outdoor plans.

📍 City Hall is Moving!

We’re excited to share that City Hall is getting a new home! The City of Tahlequah will be relocating to the former Tahlequah Board of Education Building at 225 N. Water Ave.

Our move is planned for the week of September 21st. As with any move, there are a lot of details to coordinate, and while we’re working hard to make the transition as smooth as possible, we don’t yet have a definite date for when we will be fully operational at the new location.

If you have city business to take care of during the week of September 21st, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding as our staff works through the move. We know that transitions can sometimes create a few extra challenges, and we appreciate your grace as we get settled into our new space.

We’ll keep you updated along the way and will let you know as soon as the move is complete and City Hall is fully operating at 225 N. Water Ave.

Thank you, Tahlequah, for your continued patience and support. We’re excited for this next chapter and look forward to welcoming you to our new City Hall!

Storm Debris & Brush Pickup

Following yesterday’s storm, residents may place storm debris and brush at the curb for pickup. Our Street Department crews will be working throughout the city to clear storm debris and brush. There is no need to submit a pickup request. Please be patient as crews work their way through the community—we’ll get to it.

If you are able to haul your brush yourself, you may take it to the City’s approved burn site, located at the southeast corner of Allen Road and the Woodard Avenue Bypass, near the Fire Training Center.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as our crews work to clean up after yesterday’s storm. Please stay safe while clearing debris from your property.

Great job TPWA!
