Memorial Day at Linda’s House was filled with laughter, connection, and so many beautiful moments. 💙

We started the day celebrating a client birthday, enjoyed water activities outside with the kiddos (including this amazing unicorn sprinkler 🦄💦), and ended the evening gathered around a dinner everyone helped create together.

Some of today’s sweetest moments:
✨ Kiddos covering a birthday cake in sprinkles
✨ One child making macaroni and cheese for the very first time
✨ Popsicles keeping little hands busy while moms cooked together
✨ Encouragement and teamwork during our evening Memory Match game
✨ Conversations about what healthy friendships look like — supporting, encouraging, and being kind to one another

After dinner, we rolled right into evening groups, where both adults and children shared meaningful conversations, laughter, and connection. Days like today remind us healing can happen in simple moments — around a kitchen island, during play, and through safe relationships where everyone feels seen and valued.

We got so wrapped up in the joy of the day that we forgot to take many pictures, but we did capture one photo of the beautiful meal our guests prepared together ❤️

Thank you to everyone who helps create spaces like Linda’s House where families can rest, heal, and simply enjoy being together.

A bill protecting domestic violence victims from their abusers after those individuals are released on bail is making its way to the governor’s desk.

Sen. Bill Coleman, R-Ponca City, on Tuesday secured final passage of legislation that allows courts to require defendants in the most egregious domestic violence cases to wear GPS ankle monitors while out on bail. Senate Bill 1325 passed both legislative chambers unanimously.
