At its upcoming meeting on Friday, August 21 at 8:30 a.m., the TCPUD Board of Directors will receive an update on the Tahoe City Community Center Planning & Feasibility Study, review preliminary community survey results, and provide direction on next steps.

So far, survey results indicate community interest in continuing to explore a potential new recreation facility at the Tahoe City Community Center site. The survey remains open through September 7, 2026, and final results will be shared after it closes.

Have you taken the Tahoe City Community Center community survey yet? There’s still time to share your input!

πŸ“ Learn More and Take the survey: https://tcpud.org/recreationfuture?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=recreationfuture

TCPUD recently completed a feasibility study evaluating three potential recreation concepts for the property:

πŸ€ Indoor gymnasium
🏊 Indoor aquatic center
πŸ€πŸŠ Combined gymnasium and aquatic center

Before any decisions are made, the TCPUD Board wants to better understand community interest in these concepts and support for potential funding. Any future facility would require a combination of District funds and a new parcel tax.

If you live, work, or recreate in the Tahoe City area, please take a few minutes to complete the survey by September 7.

πŸ’§β›³ Monday Minute: Behind the Greens

This week, we're checking in at the Tahoe City Golf Course with Grounds Supervisor Mike Abarno to see the results of the course's new irrigation system.

The upgraded system gives staff precise control over every sprinkler head, allowing them to target dry spots, improve turf conditions, reduce water use, and spend less time on irrigation repairs.

πŸŽ₯ Watch this week's Monday Minute, then come experience it for yourself. Book your tee time at tcpud.org/golf.
