In the cold, last Friday morning, our team Handcuffs and Halligans braved the weather and took the plunge. We raised a little over $3,000 for Maryland Special Olympics. We also debuted our new logo. Fun was had by all despite it being so cold.

Thank you so much for this amazing design. This design is for our partnership with the TPPD. We can’t wait to represent it at the plunge and other events in the future.

It was truly a privilege to create a custom logo for the Takoma Park Volunteer Fire Department and Takoma Park Police Department for their upcoming Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge – Police & Public Safety Plunge on Friday, January 30th.

This project is especially meaningful to me. Takoma Park is the company my grandfather proudly served with, and one of the main reasons I joined the fire service over 24 years ago. While working on this design, I shared a few old photos of him, and through our conversations, many members remembered him and even shared photos of my grandfather that I had never seen before.

To be trusted with creating a logo for such a special event, bringing together both the Fire and Police Departments, was truly an honor and something I’ll always be grateful for.

Thank you to both departments for the opportunity and for preserving the tradition, history, and brotherhood alive.

Some volunteers and “C” shift career staff were invited to read to children of the community at People’s Book this morning. Photos will be in the comments, we were unable to post videos and photos at the same time.
