CHRISTMAS TREES ARE COMING!

We will once again be selling Christmas trees this year. We expect them to arrive the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Our trees this year will come from the same farm selected to provide a number of trees to the White House.

For tree lot times, please watch this space.

In a normal year the selection of the White House Christmas tree is a media event at the NCTA Champion Grower’s farm. But…2020 is far from a normal year.

Our condolences to the family and law enforcement community for the loss of SA Carlos Wolf.

Our condolences to the family and fire service comrades of Lt. Sander Cohen of the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department, who was killed last night while stopping in his personal vehicle to assist victims of a crash on I-270 near Falls Road. Lt. Cohen was a Maryland deputy fire marshal and former director of RVFD. He and the driver of the disabled vehicle, FBI Special Agent Carlos Wolf, were both killed when a car not involved in the initial crash hit them. Everyone please drive carefully this winter and holiday season. [Edited with new details.]

Funds were provided by Takoma Park Lions Club, Takoma Park VFD and Auxiliary.

20 dinners were purchased from Safeway. Each dinner had all the trimmings - including turkey, rolls and pie.

Pictured (L-R) are Steve Novik, Jim Jarboe, Enrique Alfaro and Takoma Park Lions Club President Kirk Szymanski with the food being loaded up.
