Keep learning all summer by reading books, showing great behavior, visiting the library, and serving your community.

🎬 Students entering grades 1–5 can earn a FREE movie trip with lunch.

🎢 Students entering grades 6–12 can earn a discounted trip to Alabama Adventure for just $25, including admission, lunch, and transportation.

The Talladega City Schools 2026-2027 School Calendar has officially been released. Whether you're planning family vacations or just want to know when the kids have a break, we've got you covered with the key dates you need to know for the upcoming academic year:

🚀 The Big Milestones

First Day of School (Students): Wednesday, August 12, 2026

Last Day of School (Students): Thursday, May 27, 2027 (Early Release)

Last Day for Teachers: Friday, May 28, 2027

🍂 Fall & Winter Breaks

Labor Day: September 7, 2026 (School Closed)

Fall Break: October 23 & 26, 2026 (Following an Early Release on Oct 22)

Veterans Day: November 11, 2026

Thanksgiving Holiday Break: November 23–27, 2026

Winter Break: December 21, 2026 – January 6, 2027 (Students return January 7, 2027)

🌸 Spring Breaks & Holidays

MLK Jr. Day: January 18, 2027

Spring Break: March 22–26, 2027

Late Spring Break: April 23, 2027

⏰ Need-to-Know Info:

Early Release Times: On scheduled early release days, elementary school students dismiss at 11:30 AM and secondary school students dismiss at 12:00 PM.

Hey First Graders! 🚨

‼️📢🐯🎉 Great News, Salter Families!

Back-to-school just got easier! All school supplies will be provided for all Salter students for the 2026–2027 school year. Simply register your child by July 24, donate one or more of the requested items from the list if you’re able, and provide your child with a clear or mesh book bag. We’ll take care of the rest! 📚❤️🖤🐯
