CDT...

At 735 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Parkdale, or 8 miles north of Goodwater, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Sylacauga, Goodwater, Parkdale, Cleveland Crossroads, Overbrook,
Hollins, Roselle, and Millerville.

Wilsonville, moving southeast at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Columbiana, Wilsonville, Talladega Springs, Fayetteville, Lay Lake,

ST. CLAIR...CLEBURNE AND NORTHEASTERN CLAY COUNTIES THROUGH 1000 PM
CDT...

At 853 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Piedmont to near West End-Cobb Town to
Argo. Movement was southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Anniston, Oxford, Talladega, Pell City, Jacksonville, Moody,
Piedmont, Springville, Odenville, Heflin, West End-Cobb Town, Cobb
Town, Fort McClellan, Saks, Lincoln, Margaret, Argo, Weaver,
Ashville, and Riverside.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

CENTRAL CLAY COUNTIES THROUGH 1030 PM CDT...

At 959 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Waldo, or near Talladega, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Talladega, Lineville, Ashland, Munford, Waldo, Barfield, Camp Mac,
Chandler Springs, Ironaton, Lake Chinnabee, and Gunthertown.

FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.

* WHERE...Southwestern Talladega County in east central Alabama...

* WHEN...Until midnight CDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 949 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between 0.5
and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sylacauga, Childersburg, Oak Grove, Waldo, Bon Air, Winterboro,
Sycamore, Alpine, Mignon, Varnons and Chandler Springs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
