Our mission is to prevent su***de among service members, Veterans and their families. On March 5, 2019, President Trump signed Executive Order (13861) on a “National Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End Su***de” that served as a call to action, prompting the VA/SAMHSA Mayor's Challenge and Governor's Challenge initiatives. Florida was among the first states to join the Governor’s Challenge at the e

nd of 2019. Our main priorities are 1) Identify Service Members, Veterans, and their Families and Screen for Su***de Risk 2) Promote Connectedness and Improve Care Transitions 3) Lethal Means Safety and Safety Planning.
