It's Truck Driver Appreciation Week, and Florida Trucking Association is spotlighting drivers who represent the best of the industry. George Moore is an FTA Driver of the Month from UPS. With 36 years at UPS and 1.5 million safe miles, he is a member of the UPS Circle of Honor for 25-plus consecutive accident-free years. He helped build the New Feeder Driver Safety program in Jacksonville and coordinates community efforts for Toys for Tots, Wreaths Across America, and Ronald McDonald House. He served as a Florida Road Team member, educating students on safe driving. Congratulations, George, on a career of giving back at every turn.

It's Truck Driver Appreciation Week, and Florida Trucking Association is spotlighting drivers who represent the best of the industry. Michael Smith of Trans-Phos is Florida Trucking Association's 2026 Driver of the Year. An Army veteran of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm who earned the Army Achievement Medal, he carried that same sense of duty into 30 years of driving, all with one company, and three million safe miles as a certified driver trainer. In November 2022, he acted quickly at the scene of a serious accident and helped save a woman's life, a moment his colleagues at Trans-Phos still point to as proof of his character. Selected by an independent panel of judges from law enforcement, regulatory, and transportation backgrounds, Michael stood out for a career built on safety, skill, and courage both on and off the road. Congratulations, Michael, a hero and this year's top honoree.

It's Truck Driver Appreciation Week, and Florida Trucking Association is spotlighting drivers who represent the best of the industry. Keith Radford is an FTA Driver of the Month from Publix Super Markets. He has given 41 years to Publix, 30 of them driving, logging more than 2.4 million safe miles without a single accident. His dispatch lead calls him a true ambassador for the Publix brand. Congratulations, Keith, on 41 years of showing up.

Timothy Baker is an FTA Driver of the Month from Florida Rock & Tank Lines. He has 30 years of experience, 15 with his current company, and more than 3.5 million lifetime safe miles. He has earned a company safe driving award every single year and mentors newer drivers on safety and defensive driving. Congratulations, Timothy, on loyalty and reliability mile after mile.

Oscar Torres is an FTA Driver of the Month from Publix Super Markets. He joined Publix in 1985 and has been driving since 1995, logging 2.4 million safe miles over 31 years. For more than a decade he has served as a driver coach, pushing his colleagues to reach the top. Congratulations, Oscar, on a career built on showing up and lifting others up.

It's Truck Driver Appreciation Week, and Florida Trucking Association is spotlighting drivers who represent the best of the industry. Robert Deroy is an FTA Driver of the Month from Ryder System, Inc.. He has 25 years of experience and 2.1 million safe miles, and is a four-time Team Driver of the Year. In 2021 he performed CPR on a coworker during a medical emergency, and in 2019 he led a 19-truck convoy in hurricane relief, one of eight hurricane deployments he has supported. Congratulations, Robert, on showing up when it matters most.
