Please join us in saying Happy Birthday to our caregiver spotlight: Mai! 🌟

This September, we’re celebrating her birthday month! Born in Georgia and raised right here in Tallahassee, Mai was inspired to become a caregiver by her grandmother and her love for caring for and helping others.

With 10 years of caregiving experience and 4 years as a CNA, Mai has spent the last six years at the Villas of Killearn Lakes, primarily as a Care Coordinator. She loves getting to know her patients through their life stories—and making a few corny jokes along the way to bring a smile to their faces!

Outside of work, Mai enjoys spending time with her son and trying new restaurants and foods. One lesson she’s learned through caregiving is to value your life at every stage and never take anyone or anything for granted.

A wonderful day for Tallahassee’s senior community!

We were happy to be part of the celebration for the opening of the new Tallahassee Senior Center on Welaunee Boulevard!

It was wonderful to see so many community members come together to tour the new space, celebrate this exciting addition to Tallahassee, and look ahead to all the activities, connections, and memories that will be made here.

Please join us in saying happy Birthday to our caregiver spotlight: Tylene Walton Brown!

This September is Tylene's birthday month! Originally from Auburn, Alabama, she now calls Florida home. She loves meeting new people, hearing their stories, and bringing her outgoing personality to her work as a caregiver.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her dogs, finding great bargains, and, of course, enjoying the Florida beaches. One lesson she carries with her is to do the things you love while you can and make the most of every moment.

Tylene brings that same generosity to her patients, often sharing homemade food and making an effort to brighten their day. Her philosophy is simple: treat others with respect, compassion, and dignity.

🍽️ Monday Special, made with a little extra love! 💕

One of our wonderful caregivers, Angie Breon, shared her client’s Monday Special with us: a hearty Chicken, Green Bean & Potato Medley! Angie pan-fries a helping of frozen chicken strips in olive oil, adds chicken broth as they begin to brown, then warms up the green beans and potatoes before combining everything into one delicious, comforting meal.
