Important update regarding our weekly Fire Department Training. This Tuesday 8/4 we will still be meeting at station 2 at 6pm to train with our mutual aid partners. Feel free to come and join us. For the remainder of the month we will be having our weekly meeting on Tuesday nights at the Red Hill community center/ Station 1 at 6:30pm for the month of August. If you’re interested in helping your community we would love to meet you.

Red Hill Fire Department is thinking about hosting a Community Pancake Breakfast, and we’d love to hear from you!

Before we start planning, we want to know if it’s something our community would enjoy.

The Red Hill Volunteer Fire Department recently became aware of concerns involving the mishandling of department funds by a member of the department. Upon discovery, the department leadership immediately initiated an internal review and notified the appropriate authorities to ensure the matter is handled thoroughly and in accordance with all applicable laws and policies. Additionally, this member was immediately terminated from the department.

Most importantly, emergency response services to our community have not been interrupted.

Because this matter remains under active investigation, we are unable to provide additional details at this time.

Any additional questions regarding this matter should be directed to the Alabama State Fire Marshal's Office.

Congratulations to our firefighter of the year award recipients: Matthew Waite and Brian Whitehead. Thank you for all of the dedication and hard work this year.

Also, congratulations Chief Charles Chambers on 40 years of service with Red Hill Fire Department.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Michael Allen for a one of a kind plaque to help celebrate our Chief.
