Ever thought to yourself, "how do I join a Volunteer Fire Department?" "How can I help my community?" "I want to help but I just do not know where to start!" "I am older but am I still able to help?" Well good News Friendship Fire Dept can help with those questions you may have. Visit with us on Tuesday nights and talk to our Admin staff about how you can help your local Fire Department.

We have a lot of open positions both administrative, Support staff, and Firefighter positions. Have a youngster, get them involved with you all we need is a written permission form signed and they can start as young as 16 as long as they maintain a c or higher average in school.

Come out and join to help your community and become a part Of the Friendship Fire Department Family!

Tonight Friendship , Tallassee , and Eclectic Fire departments had extrication training to ensure all departments are ready in time of need and to help further our training. If you would like to volunteer with Friendship Fire Department you can pick up an application on Tuesday nights at 6:30pm!

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for dry and breezy conditions, which is in effect
from 11 AM CDT Wednesday morning through 7 PM CDT Wednesday
evening.

* WINDS...Northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 20 percent.

* IMPACTS...The combination of a dry air mass and windy
conditions will result in critical fire weather conditions.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.

It has been brought to our attention that several people have been told the Fire Dept and the Community Center have safe rooms for severe weather. This is NOT true. In the case of a severe weather outbreak, neither buildings will be open.

On behalf of Friendship Fire Department, we would like to thank everyone for contributing their time and effort to making our first annual Daddy Daughter Dance a huge success!

Thank you to the dads that made the effort to take your little girls on a night to remember, thank you to the moms for allowing us to provide a night just for them, thank you to all the little girls for showing up and showing out those dance moves with dad!

We have several volunteers, businesses, and firefighters that made this night so special.

Tonight, we danced under the stars! So many daddies, grandfathers, uncles, and more showed up and made unforgettable memories tonight. We can not express how beautiful it was to watch.
