It's with a heavy heart that we announce the 'End of Watch' for Ray Damme, who has passed away at age 90.

Ray served on the Rescue Squad from 1984 until his retirement (from the squad) in 2012. He was also a long-time member of the Talmage Fire Department/ Rural Fire Protection District.

Many in our community will remember him as the sausage king from our pancake feeds.

Thank you to Ray for his many years of service to our community as God calls him home.

Celebrate the life of Raymond Damme and join others in sharing memories, stories, and condolences.

On Saturday morning, May 30th, Talmage Rescue was called for a mutual aid in Nebraska City to assist for an ammonia leak at Cargill Value Added Meats production plant. Thanks to Cody Whited and Clint Damme of Talmage Fire for assisting/driving for this (and many other calls).

Nothing like a fire call on the eve of our Pancake Feed to empty out the station. Quick work from Talmage Fire and Dunbar Fire took a piece of farm equipment from fully engulfed to out in moments.
