The South Tama County Community School District offers career and technical programs in the following service areas:

The STC HS JV Volleyball Team also competed in the BCLUW Invite today in Conrad. The Trojans faced off against Montezuma, BCLUW, Belle Plaine, Benton, and Iowa Falls. Results:
*South Tama fell to Iowa Falls in 3 tight sets 21-11, 8-21, 12-15
*South Tama fell to Belle Plaine 20-22, 11-21
*South Tama defeated Montezuma 21-11, 21-10
*South Tama fell to Benton in 3 close sets 11-21, 22-20, 8-15
*South Tama defeated BCLUW 21-17, 21-18

*South Tama fell to host Class 1A #11 BCLUW 21-23, 13-21
*South Tama fell to Benton 19-21, 18-21
*South Tama defeated Montezuma 15-21, 21-13, 15-5
*South Tama defeated Belle Plaine 21-15, 21-15
*South Tama fell to Iowa Falls Alden 12-21, 12-21

STC MS Art Teacher Rachel Roen recently provided her 8th Grade Extension Students a unique opportunity to express themselves. Students got to plan, design, and paint a Back to School themed mural with a group. They worked on composition and delegating jobs in a group setting to made 5 great and unique murals!

Lincoln Savings Bank pledges $50 to South Tama Activity Boosters, Inc. for every touchdown scored by the Trojans at home during the 2026 Football Season! South Tama QB Ryan Brant completed an 18 yard pass to Michael Henry for a touchdown against Union Friday Night to earn the first donation of the young season. Thanks LSB for supporting student activities at South Tama!

The STC HS Varsity Football 🏈 Team hosted the Union HS Knights in a non-district matchup on a hot, humid night. The visiting Knights’ offense clicked more consistently to grab the 6-27 victory.
STC gave up two first quarter scores to Union to find themselves behind 0-14. The Trojans’ lone score came on an 18-yard pass play from QB Ryan Brant to WR Michael Henry. Henry finished off the play with a nifty run, exuding his defender, in order to find the end zone. STC’s two point conversion was no good to keep the score 6-14 at the half.
Union scored twice in the second half with a consistent ground game and by capitalizing on STC’s turnovers.

Tonight’s result moves South Tama (1-1) and Union (1-1) to even on the young season. STC will look to bounce back next Friday as it hosts Louisa-Muscatine in a varsity only game.
