Tonight, Medic 65 met up with Shenandoah EMS to assist on a call in North Union Township, with transport to GWV.

This is exactly why expanding ALS coverage is so important — not only for Tamaqua residents, but for the surrounding communities as well. Having additional advanced care resources available helps ensure patients receive the level of care they need when minutes matter.

And don’t worry, Tamaqua — Ambulance 6501 remained available in the borough to continue serving our community while Medic 65 was assisting elsewhere!

Once again, team work makes the dream work!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

At Tamaqua Ambulance, we want everyone to know that your mental health is just as important as your physical health. Life can be overwhelming at times, and it’s okay to not be okay.

To our providers, patients, families, and community — please remember you are never alone. Take time to check in on yourself and those around you. A simple conversation, kind word, or helping hand can make all the difference.

Mental health matters every day, not just this month. Take care of your mind, your body, and each other. 💚

It’s officially EMS Week and we want to take a moment to recognize something that often goes unseen but is absolutely necessary.

To our own team at TCAA, thank you for the long hours, the missed meals and holidays, the late night calls, and the steady commitment you show every single day. The work you do is not easy, and yet you continue to show up with professionalism, compassion, and strength, no matter what the call looks like when it comes in.

To all EMS providers everywhere—whether you’re on an ambulance, in a station, in a hospital, or supporting behind the scenes, thank you. You are the calm in someone else’s chaos. You are the first reassurance in a moment of fear. You are often the difference between uncertainty and hope.

This profession asks a lot of us: quick decisions, heavy responsibility, and emotional resilience that most people will never fully understand. And still, you do it day after day because you care about people and because you chose a field that puts others first.

EMS Week is a reminder to pause and recognize the commitment—not just this week, but every week. We are proud of our providers, proud of our partners across the system, and grateful for everyone who plays a role in patient care and public safety.

Stay safe, take care of each other, and know that your work matters more than words can fully capture.

We stand by you 💙🚑
