As summer begins and more children are out riding bikes throughout our neighborhood, this is a great opportunity for families to brush up on bicycle safety. The City is partnering with the Sheriff’s Office for a Bike Safety Rodeo focused on helping children learn safe riding habits, helmet safety, and rules of the road.

With longer days and more kids outside enjoying summer break, it’s a timely reminder for both riders and drivers to stay alert in our community and help keep our neighborhood streets safe for everyone.

Bring the kids out for a fun-filled morning of bicycle safety, obstacle courses, helmet fittings and a bike ride around the park with the Broward Sheriff’s Office!

The City of Tamarac is encouraging residents to update their emergency alert information through the newly transitioned CodeRED system, now managed by Crisis24, a trusted leader in emergency communications.

Keeping your contact information current helps ensure you receive important alerts such as boil-water notices, evacuation instructions, shelter-in-place alerts, and other emergency updates affecting Tamarac, Broward County, or the State of Florida.

Residents are encouraged to take a few minutes to create or update their profile to stay informed when it matters most.

We understand emergencies happen, but please keep in mind that repairs or maintenance of vehicles are not permitted in deeded parking spaces or driveways, in accordance with our rules.

Tamarac City Code permits performing repairs on your personal motor vehicle only when such repairs are conducted entirely within a fully enclosed residential garage.

Join City of Tamarac on Saturday, May 2 for the semi-annual hazardous waste and recycling event. This is the perfect place to dispose of paint, old televisions, and other hazardous items that our bulk trash vendor will not collect.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience, but the playground is temporarily closed due to a lock issue. The Board is aware and working to get it resolved as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience. We’ll share an update as soon as it’s reopened.

BULK TRASH

Bulk trash is only to be put out Wednesday after 7 pm or Thursday mornings.

Any bulk trash put out not in compliance with the City of Tamarac guidelines and the Banyan Lakes HOA timeframe, will have the homes violated.

Any homeowner who has photos or videos of anyone dumping bulk trash is encouraged to send them to the board at [email protected]. Our Property Management company will process them.
