Here we go again. Moms for Liberty, book bans, supported by outgoing school board chaos maker Bridget Ziegler. Teresa Dewitt's kids don't even attend public school.
End the chaos. End the circus.

Sarasota has already seen what happens when culture-war politics take over our School Board. We can't afford to go backward.

School Board candidate Michelle Pozzie played a leading role in those divisive battles with no plans to stop if elected.

Voters should ask themselves a simple question: Is this the direction we want for Sarasota County Schools, more of the same?

Our community deserves leaders who will focus on student achievement, support teachers and parents, and bring people together instead of creating more distractions and division.

On August 18, choose a fresh start. End the circus.

Sarasota voters need to to know the truth BEFORE August 18th about who Frank DiCicco really is. His background owning topless nightclubs is NOT the type of experience needed for the Sarasota School Board. Put a stop to the circus on August 18th.

As a father of four Sarasota public school graduates, a longtime community volunteer, and a leader with decades of experience solving problems and building consensus, Jimmy understands that strong schools are built through collaboration—not conflict.

His priorities are the ones that matter:
✏️Strong early literacy
✏️Supporting and respecting teachers
✏️Expanding career and workforce opportunities
✏️Investing in student mental health and school safety
✏️Restoring a student-first focus to the School Board

Our community needs thoughtful leadership that focuses on preparing every student for success while bringing people together around the shared goal of excellent public schools.

This August, we have the opportunity to elect a School Board member who believes that public education should unite our community, not divide it.

Beth Mayberry is the leader our schools need. Beth is a former teacher, a certified financial planner, and a lifelong resident of North Port. Her children—and now her grandchildren—have attended Sarasota County public schools.

She understands that strong public schools require responsible governance, transparency, respect for educators, and a relentless focus on student achievement. She believes School Board members should solve problems, be responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars, and make decisions based on what's best for students—not political agendas.

At Fair Governance for Florida, we believe good governance starts locally. When school boards are focused on accountability, collaboration, and academic excellence, our students succeed, our teachers are supported, and our communities become stronger.

The stakes in this election couldn't be higher. The Sarasota County School Board will make decisions that shape our classrooms, influence our teachers, and impact thousands of families for years to come.

For too long, Sarasota's School Board has been defined by distractions and chaos. It's time for a leader who will bring the community together.

Megan Tennimon is that leader.

A lifelong Sarasota resident and proud Sarasota High School graduate, Megan is raising the third generation of her family in Sarasota County Public Schools. She understands our schools—not just as a former teacher, but as a parent, volunteer, and community leader.

Megan began her career as a second-grade teacher at Gocio Elementary, where she worked alongside parents and colleagues to help every child succeed. Later, while raising her family, she continued supporting education by helping students pursue higher education and leading admissions teams.

Her commitment to Sarasota schools never stopped. Megan has spent years volunteering in our schools, serving as PTO president and treasurer, organizing fundraisers and events, coordinating volunteers, and supporting students at Fruitville Elementary, Sarasota School of Arts & Sciences, McIntosh Middle, and Sarasota High School.

Megan believes our schools should focus on students—not politics. She'll bring professionalism, accountability, and common-sense leadership to the School Board while working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and the community.

It's time for a fresh start. It's time for collaboration over chaos.

🗳️ Vote August 18th.

It's time to fold up the circus tent once and for all. Jimmy Glover, Megan Tennimon, and Beth Mayberry can create a fresh start for the Sarasota County School Board. Jimmy is a public school advocate focused on students and academic success, Megan is a proven community leader and education supporter who believes in collaboration over conflict, and Beth brings real public education experience and a commitment to putting families first. Together, they represent a fresh start rooted in stability, professionalism, and common-sense leadership. On August 18, vote for the candidates focused on students, not the circus.
