Village of Tamms Tamms is a village in Alexander County, Illinois, United States. The population was 632 at the 2010 census.

Tamms was established under the name of Idlewild in 1883.

The village of Tamms is still currently experiencing phone issues, we have called to have this issue resolved. AT&T cannot get a tech out until 10/22/2025. We have stressed the importance of needing a phone, however they are experiencing higher than normal phone issues. Please come up to Village hall with any questions or concerns.
