There are seconds in life that become defining moments. This second NOW is one of them.
All of my struggles, sleepless nights, stress and anxiety to work to obtain material things, the stress over the last 15 years to build my CALL-ITA attorney referrals business and all the headaches for the last 51 years of my life, ALL of that fits inside the trunk of a car. If I really wanted, I could downsize even more getting rid of more things to just what’s inside Mi Mochil-ITA.
The feeling that the possibilities of losing it all are very high, I imagine is a similar feeling as when the doctor tells you that you only have a certain time more to live. You prioritize what’s really important in life and the answer is, LIFE itself!
The more we have, the more stress we have. If I were to lose it all, I wouldn’t try to replace anything. I would just get the things that are more important to me to have a comfortable life but I would minimize the stress by having LESS.
I’m at peace with myself, I don’t have anyone in my life right now that knowingly I’ve done wrong that I haven’t apologized to. I’m spending time with my Mima and my close family and friends during this storm and when I look at myself in the mirror, I see who I am. I respect and help everyone I can regardless of their religion, race, nationality, political party affiliation, sexual orientation etc etc. I’m proud of the good human being that I consider that I am, while improving every day! What about YOU!??!!
This post hopefully makes many of us here in Florida that are about to face hurricane Milton become less self-absorbed in arrogance or sense of superiority for whatever reason we think we’re better than others.
The focus of seeing neighbors helping neighbors on saving our lives, brings me joy to see that the hate and divisiveness that existed amongst neighbors a week ago due to political differences, now has united those neighbors to help each other.
Maybe this is what we needed here in Florida to help those political fanatics realize that OUR neighbors face the same challenges that we do and that not Trump or Harris are the ones helping us board up our windows, carry sandbags, rebuild our homes or give us a life jacket if we’re drowning during the hurricane. It’s our Republican or Democrat neighbor who’s doing it.
Hope this post helps you find a balance in life in many different aspects, that softens your heart to help others regardless of our differences and that makes us all more humble as it did to me as I’m here writing it!!
What I’m I going to do after this hurricane passes? Rebuild my life in a more minimalistic way, travel more with Mi Mochil-ITA, spend more quality time with my family and friends and work harder doing what I love, helping families in times of need and making our world a better place to live for generations to come. I will continue to spread my phrase, SHARE LOVE NOT HATE!
Be safe everyone. Call me on my cell after the storm if you need any help and I’ll be happy to help. The elderly will have a priority! 813-503-0212! Love you Tampa Bay! Ita ❤️❤️❤️
