On November 18, 2022, Children's Network of Hillsborough was excited to be a part of National Adoption Day where 27 children became the final "piece of the puzzle" in their forever families. Special thanks to the Judiciary, all of our partners, Mayor Castor, the Rough Riders and the Board of County Commissioners. The children got to spend the day taking pictures with Pikachu, Hello Kitty, Minions and Superman; building their own Build a Bear to Adopt, Balloon art and many more activities!

Phoenix House Florida is a nonprofit addiction treatment provider that has been serving the Tampa Bay are for 30 years. Phoenix House offers outpatient and residential programs to build healthier communities across the state.

Sabrina and Koron Hoosier started fostering in August of 2022 and are brand new to fostering but you would never know that when you meet them. Without question, the Hoosiers love every child that has entered their home and already have worked with other system partners to help unify siblings as soon as children come into their home. Additionally- The family has seen the great need in our community for foster parents to work with children with special emotional and medical needs and are currently fostering a therapeutic child and have worked closely with case management to ensure the child’s needs are met and have signed up for the next cycle of therapeutic foster parent training so they can learn how to better parent this population of children! The Foster parents also recently purchased a bunk bed so that they can help more children in Hillsborough County! CHN is very thankful to the Hoosier family for answering the call to foster.

Introducing…Aaron was initially licensed on 12/9/2015. This superstar foster dad has gone above and beyond in working with some of the hardest children in our system of care. He never hesitates in taking in children. He has even committed to some children temporarily only to end up falling in love with them and taking them permanently. He currently has 5 foster youth. He advocates to the fullest extent possible for the youth in his home to have the proper services in place. He has advocated for therapy to be put in place for all of the children and for them to have the same therapist. He makes every youth who come through his home feel safe, secure and loved. He treats all of them like they are his own and the youth call him dad. There are not enough words to describe how amazing Aaron is and what an asset he truly is to the system of care and the youth who are and have been placed with him. We are so lucky to have him as part of our team!!

Dear Parents,
Our team at the Children’s Network of Hillsborough is working diligently to serve the Hillsborough County community. We are pleased to report that payments for the foster children annual clothing allowances were mailed on August 1st and the EFT payments will be delivered on August 4th.
We are on schedule to release the July foster parent payments on August 5th which will be paid via a check this month. We will be able to change back to EFT payments for the August payments which would be delivered to parents by September 7th.
We appreciate your understanding as we continue to update our systems with our adoptive and foster parents’ information. We are requesting of all foster and adoptive parents, if you have not done so already, please read, complete and return to us the CN Hillsborough Transition Letter which is available on our website (https://childrensnetworkhillsborough.org/electronic.../) and page.
