Children’s Board Family Resource Centers offer programs and services emphasizing on child development and health and safety at no cost.

The Children’s Board Family Resource Centers are located throughout Hillsborough County and offer programs and services emphasizing children’s health, safety and development. All Hillsborough County residents are encouraged to visit to discover the many opportunities available for parents, caregivers, children, teens and individuals. All programs and services are available at no cost. The Centers

are designed to help families and communities become happier, healthier and stronger in a refreshing, home-like environment where caring staff and members offer support, opportunities and new friendships. The Centers are generously funded by the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County and proudly managed by Lutheran Services Florida. The project functions as a collaborative partnership between agencies committed to families in our community. Centers offer the following:

🎉 Last Saturday CBFRC South County, wrapped up a special Financial Program for our Explorers Club members.
It was an incredible journey where the kids learned all about financial literacy and reached their goals through fun, interactive activities. 💰✨

The Operation Strong Families program, funded by the Children’s Board, supports active military and veterans families. This family program meets two evenings per week.

What a sweet day! 🍦

We had so much fun teaching our kids how to make homemade ice cream! From mixing the ingredients to watching the magic happen, everyone enjoyed this hands-on learning experience. It was a great opportunity to explore a little science, practice teamwork, and, of course, enjoy a delicious treat together.

We can’t wait for our next adventure! 💙🍨

Yesterday, we celebrated Independence Day with joy, gratitude, and patriotism. 🇺🇸

Today, our centers are closed in observance of the holiday so our families and staff can enjoy this special time together. We will reopen on Monday at 9:00 AM and can’t wait to welcome everyone back!

We wish all of our wonderful families a safe, fun, and memorable 4th of July weekend filled with laughter, love, and cherished moments together. ❤️🤍💙

Our Little Explorers had a refreshing hands-on learning experience as they discovered how to make homemade lemonade! From squeezing fresh lemons to mixing the perfect balance of ingredients, they practiced following directions, teamwork, and measuring, all while having so much fun.

Nothing beats the smiles that come with learning something new… especially when it’s delicious! 💛🍋

Celebrating Juneteenth at Our Centers ❤️🤍💙

This week, our centers came together to honor and celebrate Juneteenth through learning, reflection, and community. Participants enjoyed engaging activities, meaningful conversations about freedom and history, cultural presentations, music, and shared experiences that highlighted the significance of this important day.

☀️😎 Last week, our CBFRC Plant City kids had a blast getting creative! During our special activity, each child decorated their own pair of sunglasses to take home and wear, helping protect their eyes from the bright sunlight. From colorful designs to unique patterns, every pair was as creative as the child who made it. We loved seeing their imaginations shine while reinforcing the importance of staying safe in the sun. Thanks to everyone who joined us for this fun and educational event! 🌈🕶️
