Here's your chance to learn more about our new Military Dual Generation Initiative, which offers personalized coaching and resources for families of current and former service members. Participation in this program is FREE thanks to a generous investment from USAA.

At this free informational session, you can hear more about the program and how it serves this community. Some food ill be served. All are welcome who want to know more!

Our Building Financial Futures crew tabled at Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay's 3rd Annual College & Career Summit last week! Between educational sessions, over 250 graduating seniors from across Hillsborough County had a chance to hear about BFF and sign up for our workshops.

Chaikirah, the program architect for BFF, had a great time connecting with young adults and networking with employers like the Tampa Bay Rays, College Hunks, and CareerSource Tampa Bay. She predicts that these conversations will create new, exciting opportunities for BFF participants! "With more options come more possibilities," she observed.

👋 Meet Thalia!

As a case manager, she promotes mental and physical wellness. Thalia listens carefully to understand the unique needs of her clients and their families. Once she has grasped their situation, she helps them create realistic, achievable goals. She treats her clients like family.

Thalia holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management. She spent 19 years in human resources and benefit administration, specializing in Section 125 (which helps employees reduce their taxable income when they pay for essential healthcare) and COBRA benefits (which helps families keep health benefits even after losing employment).

For the last 11 years, though, Thalia shifted her focus to mental health and co-occurring disorders, functional health, chronic illness, and long-term disability and care coordination. She is certified by the AHCA to assess mental and functional health and certified by the Florida DCF to assess exploitation and abuse of adults, as well as compliance violations.

Across all this work, Thalia’s goal has been to help vulnerable people get the care they need.

Thalia loves to see her clients’ eyes light up when they realize that the information and knowledge she provides have equipped them to become self-sufficient. All they have to do is commit to working hard and staying on track.
