The Harrell Center was founded in 1997 by private philanthropists: James and Jennifer Harrell. The Harrell Center is part of the University of South Florida's - College of Public Health. The current director of the Harrell Center is Abraham Salinas-Miranda MD, MPH, PhD. The Harrell Center works on several projects around the community and globe to help work towards ending domestic violence.

This interactive graduate course explores violence prevention through a public health lens with discussions, case scenarios, guest speakers, and problem-based learning. Topics include intimate partner violence, ACEs, survivor advocacy, prevention strategies, and more.
