Charlotte County Schools Powered Up for PBIS Success this summer!

What an incredible day at the Charlotte County Public Schools PBIS Power Up Conference! From start to finish, the energy, collaboration, and commitment to supporting students were on full display.

The conference began with an inspiring welcome from Superintendent Mark Vianello, whose commitment to positive school culture set the tone for an engaging and impactful day. Attendees were also inspired by keynote speaker Theresa Waller, CTC Electricity Instructor and the 2026 FLATE Distinguished Manufacturing Secondary Educator of the Year, who challenged educators to continue making a lasting difference in the lives of students.

District leaders then took a deep dive into behavioral data, celebrating meaningful decreases in student behavior incidents while identifying priorities and action steps for the upcoming school year.

Participants had the opportunity to learn from some of the district's highest-implementing PBIS schools and district experts through engaging breakout sessions focused on data-based problem solving, maximizing the district's data systems, and sharing practical strategies that are making a difference in schools every day.

Of course, it wasn't all work! The conference included interactive activities, plenty of laughter (including a spirited game of musical chairs!), exciting giveaways, and opportunities for staff to connect, collaborate, and celebrate their collective success.

A huge congratulations to the entire Charlotte County Public Schools PBIS District Team, with special recognition to PBIS District Coordinator Jack Ham and Rebecca Marazon, Coordinator of Psychological Services, for organizing an outstanding conference, and sincere appreciation to Superintendent Mark Vianello for his exceptional leadership and unwavering support of PBIS across the district.

Charlotte County continues to demonstrate that when leadership, data, collaboration, and a commitment to positive school culture come together, students and schools thrive.
