A wall becomes a canvas. A corridor becomes a conversation. Frames on Franklin continues to transform a prominent expressway wall along South Franklin Street, between E. Brorein Street and E. Whiting Street, into a platform for public art and storytelling in downtown Tampa.
The space now showcases “Connected to Downtown,” continuing the corridor's evolution as a dynamic canvas where infrastructure, community, and creativity intersect.

More activations and artistic partnerships are coming in FY 2027.

🚧 : A southbound lane on Meridian Ave. is closed from Cumberland Ave. to Channelside Dr. for drainage maintenance. The lane closure will remain in place overnight and through tomorrow.

Progress continues on the South Selmon Capacity Project. Initial clearing and trimming are nearing completion, making way for the next phase of construction. Throughout the project, THEA is prioritizing tree preservation with guidance from a licensed arborist and limiting tree removal to only where it's necessary for construction.

Once work is complete, the corridor will feature refreshed underpasses, enhanced landscaping, improved sidewalks and lighting, and other neighborhood enhancements designed to benefit the community for years to come.
