Focus Schools Tampa Focus Schools Tampa: Two schools empowering students with disabilities through lifelong learning. We are a 501c3 organization.

Focus Day School: a private school for students in grades 3 through 10

Focus Academy: a charter school for students in grades 6 through age 22. A charter middle school, high school, and transition program for students that have learning challenges like Autism Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disability, Intellectually Disabled and/or Language Impaired. Social skills therapies are incorporated into the curriculum for a seamless learning experience with the goal of transitioning into the real world.

At last week’s 14th Annual Project Focus Gala, we had the privilege of hearing from one of our Focus Day School students and their family as they shared their experience at FDS and the impact our school has had on their lives.

We are incredibly honored to play a small part in the many stories that make up our students’ journeys. Hearing these firsthand experiences inspires us to continue reaching more families, creating meaningful opportunities, and making a lasting impact throughout the Tampa Bay area.

We have decided to postpone our Parent Seminar for this evening, due to the ongoing inclement weather we are experiencing in our area. We have families that come from all over the Tampa Bay region and various places are experiencing flooding already. The rescheduled Parent Seminar date will be communicated out soon!! Please keep a watch out for the new date.

Please Note: we are actively monitoring Hurricane Isaias to determine if a school closure will be necessary for tomorrow. Please keep in mind that we take into consideration that we have families and staff traveling from many regions of Tampa Bay to get to Focus Academy. We will provide an update regarding the school day tomorrow, Friday 10/09, later this afternoon.

The High Schoolers project was to create a poster about either environmental or sports safety.
