Storm Debris Cleanup Process
How does debris cleanup work? 🤔
Storm cleanup is serious business! We’ve got teams out 7 days a week working to cleanup neighborhoods and streets countywide. In a typical year, we collect over 51,000 tons of yard waste and since #HurricaneMilton, we’ve collected 562,243 tons of debris. 💪🗑️
No neighborhood or street is the same, so pickup time can vary depending on how much debris is in the area. It can take around 2 hours for just one load to be collected and dropped off at our disposal sites!
We’re working hard to cleanup Hillsborough one truckload at a time.
📅 Our 60th Annual Veterans Day Tribute is tomorrow.
Join us Monday morning at 10 a.m. for a patriotic ceremony followed by food, games, and music. 🔗 Find more info on the event: https://bit.ly/40tgRBf
